The Pontifical Mission Societies in the Diocese of Orange accept requests from Mission Dioceses, Religious Orders, and Lay Organizations engaged in missionary work to preach at parishes in the summer months for the purpose of making an appeal for financial support to specific projects.

Participation in the Missionary Cooperation Plan (MCP) is encouraged on an annual basis. This appeal unites the Diocese of Orange with the Universal Church and fosters greater mission awareness among the faithful. These appeals also not only inform parishioners about the realities of mission work but also offer them the opportunity to experience, respond and participate in this essential work of the Global Church.

                                          MCP 2026

Every summer missionaries from dioceses, religious orders, and other missionary organizations serving those most in need are invited to come share their mission stories and experiences at our parishes. Their appeals provide an opportunity to gain prayerful and financial support for their projects while also providing parishioners with the opportunity to experience and participate in their baptismal call to Mission.

Submission of your application indicates that your Diocese or missionary group, including all parties involved in assisting your missionary, understands and complies with all statutes and limitations of the U.S. Patriot Act enforcing accountability for all money sent here and abroad. By submitting a signed “MCP Application” form you acknowledge the Policies and Procedures for the Mission Cooperative Appeal in the Diocese of Orange. If you have any questions regarding these Policies and Procedures, please contact the Diocese of Orange Mission Office. After an appeal, it is required to send a confirmation of funds letter once bank wire or check are received. A final report of how the funds were utilized is required, report with pictures or video is preferred.
